Distilling and Aromatherapy
On the first floor, visitors will be totally
intrigued by the secret world of aromatic and scented plants.
Exhibitions and films invite you to enjoy a symphony of
scents during your discovery of lavender, which the village
of Simiane holds close to its heart. It is the true capital
of essential oils with the largest Provence scented plant
Cooperative in France. The specialised team from the Sainte-Victoire
Laboratory, which is to be found in the castle, are pleased
to welcome you and introduce to you the uses and therapeutic
benefits of essential oils through distillation demonstrations
with an alambic still, conferences and workshops (programme
available on request).

From 1st March until 31st March : weekends only from 2pm
to 6pm
From 1st April until 30th April : every day except Tuesdays

From 1st May until 31st August : every day from 11am to
1pm and 2pm to 7pm
From 1st September until 30th September : every day except
Tuesdays from 2pm to 6pm
From 1st October until 11th November : weekends only from
2pm to 6pm
